We are seeking a highly ambitious and driven Financial Controller to join our Finance Team. This is a new position, where you will manage the high quality of some of our financial reports and contributing to improving our overall financial performance.

 

As a Financial Controller, you will follow up on financial activities of the company and ensure that financial statements are accurate, timely, and comply with accounting standards. You will also work with various finance-related tasks, including cashflow management, VAT handling, transfer pricing and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial closing process. Furthermore, you support month-end and year-end close process. The role requires good operational understanding and the connection between operation and finance will be crucial. Additionally, the ability to develop and improve existing reports is also essential.

In this position you will be working in the Finance team reporting directly to the Finance Manager, and in close collaboration with the Accounting team and Business Controller. The position is based at the headquarters in Gothenburg, Saltholmen.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be involved in the work, collaborating with the Finance Manager, to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the financial closing process, including reconciliation of accounts, preparation of financial statements, and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Provide support to the accounting team in the monthly book-closing process.
  • Manage cashflow to ensure sufficient liquidity.
  • Support forecasting and analysis of actual results & deviations to forecast related to cash flow and balance sheet including support business operations.
  • Handle VAT and tax requirements in accordance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and manage transfer pricing strategies in accordance with local laws and regulations.
  • Provide support for audit and financial statement processes.
  • Monitoring internal controls.
  • Perform financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making and drive performance.
  • Participate in and develop the financial department regarding optimization of accounting processes and accounting systems as well as continuous improvements of controlling processes and BI software.
  • System improvement, implementing new systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency. This also involves developing and improving existing and new reports.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for a candidate who has an education within Finance, Business Administration or Accounting. You have solid accounting skills and relevant experience in finance, preferably from an international environment. You have solid analytical skills in financial data and problem-solving abilities. We believe you have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience from an auditing firm or as a Financial Controller or Accountant position. You have an understanding of end-to-end process, systems and data flows. Furthermore, you are a true Excel wizard and have an extensive experience in Excel as well as BI systems and ERP systems, preferably Jeeves. You are fluent in English, written as well as spoken, Swedish are creditable.

As a person, you are curious, have a desire to develop yourself, your work tasks and your colleagues. Furthermore, you have an entrepreneurial mindset and can-do attitude and describe yourself as a prestige less and driven team-player. To succeed in this position, you are used to working independently with a solution-oriented mindset. Also, you have good communication skills, as critical to your success will be the ability to understand your stakeholders and deliver information in a clear and user-friendly manner. You can work with individuals at various levels throughout the company to provide customized decision support to the organization. You have a service minded approach and an eye for details, are structured and thorough with numbers. To thrive in this role, you are solution oriented and enjoy working in an expanding and fast-paced environment.
