Like a Mate, a Deck Hand on board our vessels is first and foremost a member of the deck team. The Deck Hand’s operational responsibility lies in taking care of maintenance on deck and in engine rooms, carrying out internal and external repairs, and ensuring safe transfers on deck. The onboard crews are small, consisting of between two and five crew members, which means that Deck Hands have similar duties to mates. The Deck Hand’s’s duties are delegated by the Mate and Master on board.
We are looking for highly motivated seafarers with the ability to cooperate with colleagues onboard as well as our office personnel. You must be able to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish or Danish and English. Since taking care of the engines is a part of the job, at least an Engine Officer Class VIII examination is required. Higher engine qualifications is an advantage. We offer you to work in a new exciting and fast growing industry, which offers good opportunities for development and future career paths.
