M/V Defender is designed for better redundancy and optimized fuel consumption. M/V Defender is equipped with generous sized passenger compartments with comfortable motion dampened seats for highest passenger comfort. The vessel provides a modern and comfortable accommodation. The low noise level inside the vessel, combined with seats located in the middle of the boat and best possible vision through the large windows, helps diminish seasickness for the passengers as much possible.

The NOS Fender
The patented, N-O-S-developed fender is revolutionizing the CTV market.
The fender has been designed and developed by the N-O-S in-house development team since 2011. The fender has undergone extensive testing, which has resulted in markedly improved CTV performance. The work to improve and develop the fender construction is ongoing.
Vessels fitted with the N-O-S fender perform better in high seas than those equipped with a standard fender.
The fender’s high U-shaped construction enables, above all, safer transfers, improved comfort thanks to lower vibration levels, lower fuel consumption and lessened wear on the vessel machinery.
The fender construction and materials increase the docking surface, creating greater friction and thus a better grip. This means that our fender immobilisms the vessel better than a standard fender – which makes all the difference in difficult weather conditions.
Today, the characteristic yellow fender visible on many of the vessels in the N-O-S fleet has developed into a five-part fender which allows for easy replacement of any parts that become worn.
The N-O-S fender can be adapted to suit any type of CTV and to fit the various safety distances used in different parks and at different boat landings.
M/V Defender is the next generation Crew Transfer Vessel equipped with 24 seats and based on our extensive experience in the Offshore Wind market.
M/V Defender has a four engine concept, two in each hull that can be operated independently for better redundancy and optimized fuel consumption. Operation at cruise speed is possible with one engine in each hull and with three engines. M/V Defender is also equipped with generous sized passenger compartments with comfortable motion dampened seats for highest passenger comfort.
