REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably a ship officer education with minimum 2-3 years’ experience of working onboard in officer position, preferably on CTVs or other in the offshore wind, oil and gas or tanker industry.
- Good knowledge of modern maritime safety management systems.
- Fluent in English.
- Able to travel to mainly UK sites and vessels on short notice.
YOUR TASKS
As HSSE-Q Officer in N-O-S you will provide pragmatic hands on support on daily basis to our crew onboard your assigned vessels. You will work in tight cooperation with Vessel Management Team (VMT) members and lead all HSSE-Q matters in assigned projects. You will also have the opportunity in the future to manage HSSE-Q aspects in taking delivery of new built vessels. You will be supported by and report directly to our HSSE-Q Manager.
We expect you to take ownership, develop and spread the company HSSE-Q culture to ensure your work makes a difference.
- Lead and provide direct hands on HSSE-Q support to crew and VMT members.
- Monitor and follow up implementation of the Quality and Safety Management System onboard as well as in the office.
- Work proactively to ensure vessels safe and efficient operation in line with flag and customer requirements.
- Participate in developing and review our management systems and site specific HSSE-Q requirements to ensure continuous improvement in our operations.
- Provide support to ensure new work for vessels are properly risk assessed.
- Participate and lead investigations of incidents, ensure HSSE-Q reports are created, analysed and that adequate corrective actions are implemented. Share important learnings and alerts with fleet when relevant.
- Support crew in preparation and be responsible for successful external inspections by authorities, class or clients.
- Perform internal and follow-up ISM/MLC vessel inspections from external parties.
- Perform internal HSSE-Q Campaigns onboard vessels.
- Occasionally perform training of crew in our internal systems and procedures.
- Participate in client HSSE-Q meetings/events.
- Be a part of the Company Emergency Response Team (ERT) and 24/7 duty rotating schedule.
- Back up for other HSSE-Q Officers when needed and assist HSSE-Q Manager as required.
