For this role, you need to be proactive and flexible, and motivated by finding solutions to a variety of issues, including those that are not always planned. It is important that you are able to prioritise effectively and feel comfortable managing a high workload.
You have a background as a Marine Engineer or Master Mariner, preferably with experience on smaller vessels. You also have in-depth marine experience, ideally gained both onboard and ashore within the wind or oil and gas industry.
In this role, you must be able to travel at short notice and will be based at our office in Gothenburg (SE). The company also has offices in Conwy (UK) and Copenhagen (DK).

YOUR TASKS
As a Vessel Superintendents, you are responsible for the fleet and support the crew in their daily operations, following up on and monitoring both short- and long-term maintenance. In this position, you will have the authority to purchase technical supplies and spare parts, work in accordance with our five-year plan, and be responsible for the vessels’ proactive and cost-effective planning.
The Vessel Superintendent is also responsible for operating within the limits of the annual budget.
Travelling to and supervising vessels at various shipyards and ports across Northern Europe is a natural part of the role. You will be part of our Technical Department and included in our duty schedule.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall management of your assigned vessels.

Ensure that assigned vessels are maintained in good condition at all times and that crews are adequately supported in order to comply with classification and flag state requirements.

Travel to assigned vessels on a regular basis.

Plan vessel maintenance and budgets in accordance with a five-year plan.

Plan and supervise shipyard periods and repairs.
-
Carry out regular technical inspections on board assigned vessels.

Resolve and finalise technical issues relating to assigned vessels.

Maintain close follow-up of vessel maintenance to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

Coordinate onboard Engineers for assigned vessels.

Develop and maintain the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) for assigned vessels.

Cooperate closely with the Crewing, HSSE-Q, Chartering and Purchasing departments.

Implement safety and environmental standards to ensure that assigned vessels operate safely.

Provide technical support outside normal office hours.
